Traditional switches on the market today waste energy in two aspects.
1. When there is no data transfer in a port, the idle port is still powered to be in the working condition. This wastes electricity and reduces the operating life of the port.
2. The maximum transmission distance of cables is generally 100m and the port power supply is calculated according to the transmission distance of 100m. However, the using distance in the daily life generally does not exceed 20 meters, then, the electricity used to power the remaining 80-meter cable is totally a waste.

Designed with the port state auto-detect function and the cable length detection function, our ECOM S1524E energy saving 24-port 10/100M unmanaged switch can well solve the energy waste problems described above.

If a port is idle, i.e., the port is not connected with other network device or it has no data exchange, our energy-saving unmanaged switch will make the port enter sleep mode, so as to reduce the electric energy used to support the working of the port and thus realize energy conservation.

Our energy saving 24-port 10/100M unmanaged switch will automatically detect the length of the cable. Then, a certain amount of electric energy, which is required by the cable for normal working, is allocated and supplied to the cable. This achieves the purpose of energy saving.
